You can join CAB Lab by getting involved in direct research as a graduate student, research assistant, or volunteer!

Prospective Graduate Student:

There are often a number of graduate student positions open to individuals interested in completing their doctoral research within the CAB Lab. In the past, multiple doctoral student collaborators have participated after being admitted into the adult clinical Ph.D. program (“Clinical Science and Psychopathology Research [CSPR] Program”) within the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota.

Research Assistant:

CAB Lab offers various positions in the lab for research assistants who have recently completed their Bachelor's degree. Please contact Dr. Sponheim if you are interested in working as a Research Assistant. 

Volunteer:

Please contact Dr. Sponheim if you are interested in working as an undergrad volunteer. 

CAB lab accepts undergraduate and post-bacc volunteers, either at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus or the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.

Responsibilities: Includes assisting with participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, cognitive assessment and questionnaire administration, and data entry.

General Requirements: Volunteers should be able to commit around 10 hours of work per week. Successful candidates typically have a 3.5 GPA or higher, have junior or senior level credits, and may have an interest in pursuing a higher degree in psychology or related fields.
